Come As You Are

This expression says a lot about who we want to be as a community. Yes, we are a casual lot when it comes to Sunday attire. Let’s hope that God is more concerned with the condition of our hearts than our outward appearance.

But “Come as you are!” goes beyond clothes. “Come as you are!” means bringing your joys and sorrows; your laughter and pain, with you to church. “Come as you are!” means being ourselves; it means offering all that we have and all that we are, that in Christ, we might be redeemed and made new.

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Northwest Corpus Christi has been providing Christian worship and learning opportunities for almost 30 years. We are a faith community open to all who desire and are seeking to know the love of God. We don't pretend to have all the answers, but we share in the everlasting hope and forgiveness offered by God through Jesus Christ.
